Grading levels are from 10 Kyu (coloured belts) to 10 Dan (black belt levels) in JKA Karate. To obtain certification for each rank, you must fulfil the certification requirements, gained the appropriate amount of continuous experience at your current rank and complete the testing procedure. Independent and Catholic schools do base their terms on the state school dates but their term dates can vary from school to school. You should check directly with the relevant school to find out the correct term date information.
